this document is my pitch for how botany design should look. i think botany's biggest weakness right now is you can kind of do cool things, but its so inconsistent and hard to measure that its impractical. i want botany to be a viable force for antagonism, if you dedicated your time to it!

what i want to see in the future of botany, and hopefully i've gotten these points across well:

  • turning botany into more of a risk-reward "science" instead of pure gambling, so you can actually do intentionally cool things with botany and actually use it
  • less codependent on the chemist to do cool things, because you're low on their priority list anyway. right now, if nobody is requesting plants from you, you barely have a job
  • better directing new players to actually explore the experimental mechanics of botany
